Learn how to drag and drop files from other apps directly into your matter correspondence using the iPad's Multitasking feature. For instructions on docking apps and additional information about Multitasking on your iPad, click here.

This is an iPad exclusive feature and you must be on iOS 12.0 or later.

  • iPad

  1. Open the matter.

  2. Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.

    Make sure your iPad is in landscape mode.

  3. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open up the dock.

  4. Tap and hold the other app you want to open and drag it off the dock.

  5. Tap and hold a file until it lifts up. To select multiple files, tap and hold a file, drag it slightly, then continue to hold it while you tap additional files with another finger. A badge indicates the number of selected files.

  6. Drag and drop the file(s) into you matter correspondence list.

    The file(s) will be recorded in the matter under the Correspondence tab in file creation date & time.
