How Can I Update My Letterhead with the New Details in LEAP?

How To

To amend your letterhead precedent, follow these steps:

  1. From the LEAP Matter List, navigate to LEAP Menu > Settings > Firm Details.

    The Firm Details window will open.

  2. You can enter or update your firm information, including: New address, Phone number, Email and website details and any other relevant contact information.

    Select the Correspondence tab and update your electronic service details as required.

  3. Open the matter.

  4. Make sure you are on the Details & Correspondence tab.

  5. Search for the template in either the New Document window or the Forms & Precedents window.

    For example your template is in the New Document window. Click New Document.

  6. Right click the Document Type and click Edit.

    Any changes made now to the document type will be saved to this document type and applied each time it is used.

  7. If you wish to insert fields, from the LEAP ribbon, click Editing > Insert Fields.

    A list of available fields will display on the right-hand side of the document. Example: Firm Details.

    All future Precedents that use this document type will now have the updated fields.
