We have made some minor updates to the Settlement Statement precedent [LL-NZ-PR-008], to ensure consistent use for all firms and to prepare for planned improvements.

Previously, the Settlement Date could be edited directly in the LEAP for Word pane, with the updated date taking affect in the Critical Dates. This feature has been disabled.

We have also removed duplicated read-only fields appearing in the LEAP for Word pane including Property Address, Purchase Price, Deposit and GST Component.

This information continues to be entered and maintained in the following locations in the matter:

·                 Settlement Date: Critical Dates under Calendar & Tasks

·                 Property Address: Property table

·                 Purchase Price, Deposit and GST Component: Conveyancing details table

As a reminder, the Settlement Date field in the Conveyancing details table is read-only. The Settlement Date must continue to be entered or updated under Calendar & Tasks.

Once entered, the next time you open and save the Conveyancing details table, the Settlement Date will also appear here and in the matter list.
