You're able to create a bulk mailout to selected clients and/or matters when, for instance:

  • Generating matter-based contracts for multiple lots being handled by the same property developer that you've created a recurring matter for.
  • Wishing clients Seasons Greetings at the end of the calendar year.
  • Re-locating your offices and changing your address and/or contact details.
  • Desktop

Creating a Mailing List

 

  1. From the LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Other > Mailings.

    The LEAP Mailing List window will open.

  2. Click New.

    The Create New Mailing (Matters) window will open.

If you wish to create a mailing list for Cards, click the drop-down arrow on New and select New Mailings to Cards.

  1. Enter a Mailing Name.

  2. Click Select Matters/Cards.

    The Select Matters/Cards window will open.

  3. Select the relevant matters/cards.

    You can tick the checkbox on the header column to select all matters/cards.

  4. When you have selected your matters/cards, click Select.

  5. Click to select a Document Precedent from Forms & Precedents, if required.

  6. Click to select an Email Precedent from Forms & Precedents, if required.

  7. Click Preview if you wish to see a preview of the mailing.

  8. Click Save & Close.

Bulk Mailings to Cards

 

  1. From the LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Other > Mailings.

    The LEAP Mailing List window will open.

  2. Open the Cards mailing list.

  3. Click to select a Document Precedent (if you wish to print), an Email Precedent (if you wish to email) or both (if you wish to print and email).

  4. Click Preview if you wish to see a preview of the mailing.

  5. Click Print/Send to process your mailing.

  6. An icon will display next to each card to inform you the status of your mailing generation:

    • - Successful generation of the mailing.
    • - An error occurred on generation of the mailing. Right-click on the card to view the error.

Bulk Mailings to Matters

 

  1. From the LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Other > Mailings.

    The LEAP Mailing List window will open.

  2. Open the Matters mailing list.

  3. Click to select a Document Precedent (if you wish to print), an Email Precedent (if you wish to email) or both (if you wish to print and email).

  4. Click Preview if you wish to see a preview of the mailing.

  5. Click Print/Send to process your mailing.

  6. An icon will display next to each card to inform you the status of your mailing generation:

    • - Successful generation of the mailing.
    • - An error occurred on generation of the mailing. Right-click on the card to view the error.

Deleting a Mailing List

 

  1. From the LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Other > Mailings.

    The LEAP Mailing List window will open.

  2. Select the mailing you wish to delete.

  3. Click .

Restoring a Deleted Mailing List

 

  1. From the LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Other > Mailings.

    The LEAP Mailing List window will open.

  2. Click and select Show Deleted Mailings.

  3. All deleted mailings will appear in red.

  4. Right-click a deleted mailing and select Undelete.

Additional Options

 

Within a Mailing window, click for additional options:

  • Email Attachment Format: For email precedents that has attachments, you may wish to set/convert the attachments format to Original Format, PDF or Secure PDF.
  • Auto Document Number: Enable document numbering for each document mailing.
  • Advanced Mailing Options: This option is only available for Cards mailing when Organisation cards are selected, you can select Generate One Mailing Per Staff Member and select For All Staff Members or Only for the First X Staff Members - where X is the number of staff members.
