Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Office > Statement of Account Summary

Purpose: Downloads summary Statements of Account for selected matters. Statements can be generated as of a specified date for matters with outstanding balances, or across a defined period for matters with balances and/or transactions.

The Statement of Account - Summary report provides summary statements for download, listing only outstanding invoices and their ageing details.
To download statements that include all debtor transactions, use the Statement of Account - Debtors Ledger Report. This report provides a detailed record of invoices, receipts, adjustments, and any reversals of these transactions.

When a client has multiple outstanding invoices, you can print a Statement of Account and share it with them. The most secure way to share account statements is via LawConnect. See Sharing Account Statements securely via LawConnect for more information.

Filters:

Matters	Determines which matters appear in the Matter List for statement download: With outstanding balances – Only includes matters with an outstanding balance as of the At Date. With balances and/or transactions – Includes following matters: Matters with a balance as of the end of the specified date range (At Date), and/or Matters that have any transaction dated within the specified period (from Transactions From to At Date).
At Date	Specifies the cutoff date for the statement.
Transactions From	Defines the start date for transactions included in the statement. This filter is only active when Matters is set to With balances and/or transactions. Works in conjunction with 'At Date' to determine the statement’s reporting period.
Invoices	Includes two invoice-related filters: Show Invoices All invoices: Displays all invoices in the statement. With outstanding balances: Displays only invoices with an outstanding balance. Include Draft Invoices No: Excludes draft invoices from the statement. Yes: Includes draft invoices in the statement.
For	Determines the recipient displayed in the statement’s Mail To field: All Clients – Addressed to all clients on the matter. Debtor Only – Addressed to the Debtor(s) as set in the Matter Table. Debtor/Split Debtor – Addressed to multiple Debtors on the matter.

Matter List:

Select matters from the list to download their statements.

Matter No.	The matter number, in which the matter meets the filter’s criteria
Matter Type	The matter type
Debtor	The client card’s short name
Responsible	The staff responsible
Acting	The staff acting
Status	The matter’s status
Download	Download statements for individual matters.

Report Fields for Downloaded Statement:

Date	The invoice date, based on the Invoice window.
Invoice No	The number of the outstanding invoice.
Description	Transaction Description.
Inv. Total	The total value of invoice less any adjustments amount
Amt. Paid	The value of receipts applied to the invoice.
Balance Due	The outstanding amount of the invoice, as of the 'At Date'.
Ageing as at <<date>>	Lists the outstanding invoice value based on their ageing period (e.g., Current, >30 Days, >60 Days or >90 Days). The Ageing Period refers to the number of days the invoice has remained unpaid since its transaction date up to the 'At Date'. The Ageing Period will be updated based on your input for the 'At Date'. Ageing Periods catetories can be customised via: LEAP Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Accounting > Reports.
Less Credit	The matter’s credit balance, as of the ‘As Date’.
Less Trust	The matter's Protected Trust Funds for Invoice/Debtor, as of the 'At Date'. NOTE: This field only includes Protected Trust Funds allocated to this specific invoice or Debtor. It does not represent all trust funds. For a detailed explanation of different types of Protected Funds, please refer to this article.
Total Due	Total outstanding balance as of the 'At Date'.
