The LEAP Content Development Team is located in New Zealand and Australia and they are a dedicated team who are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the content in LEAP (refer to “What is Content?” article for more information).

This team ensures that all of the content is up to date and the forms are automated so that you are only having to enter information in once.

There is quite a lot of work that goes into the setup of the content and an understanding of how it should all work is needed. This is why all of the staff in the Content Development Team will have a background in the legal industry of some sort.

Database Designers look after the creation of the matter types, which includes creating tables, fields, calculations and layouts so that you can enter all of the information into your matters.

All of the forms within LEAP generally start out in PDF format coming from court and authorities websites. The Document Automation Editors convert these forms to Word and then go through and automate them with the fields that come out of your matters in LEAP.

They are also responsible for researching the different areas of law and making sure all of the content that is being delivered is up to date.

There are some more complex documents that go into LEAP and are even more heavily automated to ensure that your experience with the product is as seamless as possible.

The Content Developers work with both the Database Designers and Document Automation Editors and use Word development tools to create these main documents. An example of these documents is the “Settlement Statements” across the country.
