I have looked into this and there is a no easy fix. You should have a word document that is called Invoice Template. You can edit it like any other precedent. But there is a section in the middle that you can't change which I was not happy with as there is different font, has a subtotal line that isn't referenced as a subtotal and looked ugly. So I created my own Invoice Template by going Menu > Accounting > Invoice Template Builder. This is still limited as to what you can do but it looks way better. You will also have to create the Invoice Notice by going Menu > Settings > Accounting > under Invoice > Notices.
But wait, there's more... After doing all of that, when you create an invoice and go to Print and Save, it will still look like the ugly one.
But if you click on Preview (bottom left), select the Preview tab and then click on the print icon in the top left corner, save to your computer as a PDF and then drag it into your matter... you will get a nicer invoice.
Hope that helps
We have had problems with the invoice too. We don't like the font and the fact the invoice amount is shown twice which has confused some clients. Leap have told us these things are unable to be changed.
I have literally come on to "give feedback" on our statement mailings because I want to change the address format to have the town at the very bottom (currently on the same line as suburb) and its not possible according to LEAP as formatting is fixed. Surely that is a standard address format! Letters are correct so cant understand why not possible in statements. We also have lots of issues with the invoice templates too with little help so agree with your comments on this. And dont get me started on rounding .....
