Would love to be able to do that within a matter.

Have you tried the advanced search within the correspondence search. I use it for IRD numbers for example and think its pretty good for finding those within documents in a matter?
Yes I have but find it a bit hit and miss and not a very accurate search feature. I have often searched for something that I know for sure exists but this search cannot locate it.
