Set up your LEAP account codes in your accounting software.

Open LEAP.

Click Accounting > under General Ledger > Account Codes.

Enter the relevant account codes as required.

Click Accounting > General.

Enter or select your Lock Period Date.

This will prevent you from entering any office transactions outside of the lock period, so they don't transfer to your general ledger. This will be used at the end of the financial period.

Enter or select the current Financial Year Start Date.

This is the date your accounting system and your general ledger roll over to the new financial year.

Tick the General Ledger Auto Export checkbox if you wish to enable automatic export of your general ledger journals to your accounting application.

Click Save.

Click Accounting > under General Ledger > Tax Codes.

Click New Tax Code to add tax codes and enter the required information. Click Save when you're finished.

To edit an existing tax code, select an entry from the table and make necessary changes, then click Save.
To delete a tax code when it's no longer used, select an entry from the table and click Delete. Confirm the deletion.

To restore a deleted tax code, click View Deleted Tax Codes in the top right-hand corner, click Undelete for the tax code you wish to restore. Then click Back in the top right-hand corner to return to the list of current tax codes.

Sort your tax codes in ascending or descending order by clicking on a column heading and using the up or down arrows.

Continue to add as many tax codes as required.

Click Accounting > under General Ledger > GL Reporting Group.

This page is used for setting branch offices. Branch offices have a specific code that must be entered into your general ledger. Once a branch office has a general ledger account code, you'll need to click + to add a new branch office. See Setting up your branch offices for more info.

• To edit an existing GL reporting group, select an entry from the list.
• To delete a GL reporting group when it's no longer used, select an entry from the list and click Delete. Confirm the deletion.
